Keystone’s quaint mountain village, the Keystone ski resort and surrounding areas host an awesome array of activities and events that you have to try while you are visiting!

Here are our top 5 unique things to do in Keystone:

1. Grab the whole family and visit the snow castle and try night tubing at the Adventure Center located at the top of the River Run Gondola. The snow tubing is some of the most exciting you can find in the whole country, and the gigantic Snow Castle is a great place for kids to explore.

2. Get dinner at one of Keystone’s on-mountain fine dining establishments, the Alpenglow Stube or Fondue Chessel. Both require a gondola ride to get there and have some of the most luxurious atmospheres you can find this side of Vail. See other restaurant recommendations in Keystone.

3. Go ice skating at Keystone Lakeside Village, its open late and there are a few nice restaurants and shops to visit that line the shore.

4. Do a day of KAT skiing or snowboarding with Keystone Adventure Tours. For a reasonable price, their experienced guides will take you above tree line into the Keystone Backcountry and even provide you with a pair of wide skis for the deep snow you’re surely to find in the bowls. 5. Get some delicious breakfast and coffee or hot chocolate in Inxpot, located in the center of River Run Village. Inxpot has a large drink menu with a full bar, and has books to read and sofas to sit on in the back. Top 10 Off the Mountain Winter Fun

1. Dog Sledding
Take turns mushing across an open field with Good Times Adventures. Groups of 6 people will take turns leading the pack of Siberian Huskies on a 6 mile relay tour of the Middle Fork of the Swan river. The tour lasts an hour and 15 minutes and is perfect for great family photos. $65 for adults and $35 for children.

2. Ice Skating
Kids and kids at heart will enjoy the indoor and outdoor ice skating at Stephen P. West ice area. Hop on the ice and go for only $6 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.

3. Tubing
Just 30 minutes away is Keystone’s exhilarating tubing hill. Enjoy new chutes and a ski lift just for tubers day or night for $24 for adults and $20 for kids 11 and under.

4. Snow shoeing
Take a break from the fast pace of the ski resort and step onto a mountain all of your own. Rent a pair of snow shoes from Christy Sports at Main Street Station for $15 a day and take off on your own adventure.

5. Dinner Sleigh Ride
Take a step back in time to the days of horse drawn sleighs with Breckenridge Mountain Stables. For $85 for adults and $65 for children the whole family will enjoy a 45 minute ride through the woods to heated yurt where both entertainment and food await.

6. Sledding
Grab a sled and head over to Carter Park for some classic winter fun. If you are staying with ResortQuest complimentary sleds and transportation are provided.

7. Snowmobiling
If you are an adrenaline junkie, snowmobiling with White Mountain Tours is perfect for you! Take a guided trip up to the Continental Divide and explore the Rocky Mountain back country with panoramic views. The $100 two hour tour includes the suit, the boots, the machine and the guide!

8. Spa Treatments
Both men and women will enjoy a relaxing massage with Sacred Tree at BlueSky Breckenridge. From hot stones, aromatherapy to deep tissue there is a massage for everyone. Massages start at $70 an hour.

9. Cross Country Skiing
Enjoy the casual atmosphere of the Breckenridge Nordic Center with cross country skiing. The stunning views and great memories will keep you coming back year after year. Adults trail pass is $15, kids and seniors are $10 a day.

10. Hot Springs
After a long day on the mountain relax your muscles in the Cottonwood Hot Springs. Only 45 minutes away from Breckenridge these hot springs are worth the drive. Three different soaking pools will allow you to pick the perfect temperature to relax with that special someone. Take advantage of the pools and sauna for $15 on the weekend and $10 during the week.
