Powder Day in Breckenridge, CO. The Best Breckenridge Ski Runs.

The snow is coming down hard and Breckenridge is in full Winter. Powder days are unlike any other in Breckenridge and the snow report is predicting more! Take a day and discover some of the best ski runs in Breckenridge!

We gathered some of our trusty snow-hounds and our beloved ResortQuest Ski and Snowboard Shop crew to give up the secret info on the best breckenridge ski-runs and this is what they’ve divulged…

For the Expert Skier:
Ptarmigan & Pika
Runs: Black Diamonds. To ski Ptarmigan or Pika take the T-Bar lift. These killer runs are easy to access, have lots of open terrain, trees are great but optional, and the snow is excellent on a powder day.
The Bowls: Double Black Diamonds: Access the Bowls by taking Imperial Express SuperChair and take a hike to the Peak 8 Summit…and the world shall be your oyster. Enjoy awesome snow, awesome bumps, awesome views and awesome skiing.
And so much more: You could spend days or the rest of your life tackling all the amazing expert terrain that Breckenridge has to offer. So get out there and start one day at a time!

For the Intermediate:
Cashier Run: Blue Run: Get to Cashier by taking the Mercury Super Chair on Peak 9. Ski a long run with fun trees to duck in and out of on the sides of the run. Takes you right back to the Lift so you can do it all over again.
Monte Cristo: Blue Run: Access Monte Cristo from the Independence Super Chair on Peak 7. This run starts out high almost above tree line then cruises along the edge of the ski resort.
And soo many more: All of the lower portion of Peak 7 is great for intermediate with easy blue runs. If you are ready for more of a challenge head up to the Blues at Peak 8 via the Colorado Super Chair.

For the Beginner:
Powerline:
Green Run: Access by taking the 5 chair at the base of Peak 8. This run and all the greens in this area have a good easy pitch all the way down to the base of each lift.
And so many more. There are perfect rolling runs at the base of Peak 8 where you can learn in a comfortable setting, and still see lots of terrain!

So come to Breckenridge and get familiar with the amazing terrain for all abilities! And if you are ever looking for a secret stash of powder, a perfect blue slope to master or a beginners run for fun head into the ResortQuest Ski and Snowboard shop where the crew are locals with the knowledge of where to go!

Powder Day In May?

Breckenridge has had non-stop snow for the last day and half. Isn't it May? Didn't I just see tons of people out the other day on bikes and running? That's what i love about the mountains biking one day and skiing the next. Plenty more skiing at A Basin. There reporting 6 inches in the last 24 hours. Check out the picture of the deck at Main Street Station in Breckenridge. You can't even see the resort right behind it!

Powder Day at Breckenridge 3/14

Check out this video i took with a helmet camera i rented from ResortQuest Ski and Sport out of River Mountain Lodge. It has some great shots of powder runs, tree runs and an awesome shot of my friend "trying" to cut ropes. Let's just say the Karma God was watching! The Ski and Sport shop has some great deals on renting the helmet cameras now for skiing or mountain biking. Awesome to show friends and family! Sorry i had some better video but it wouldn't load since it was too big. www.resortquestskiandsport.com
