With the weekend snowfalls, Breck’s hit some snowfall records! Remember, my data only goes back to the 2000-2001 season, this month’s snowfall to date (79 inches) makes this December the snowiest December in the past 8 years and the snowiest month overall in the past 8 years as well (previous record was 78 inches, which was December last year). Monthly snowfall is 66% above average, and YTD snowfall is 4% above average. Wahoo!

Thanksgiving storm just the beginning of week of freshies
Breckenridge has 5 inches of fresh powder, topping of a a week of 20 inches of new snow. A fantastic mid-mountain base of 26" greeted holiday skiers and riders with some of the best Thanksgiving conditions in years. But more is on the way. Forecasters predict another 5 to 9 inches beginning Tuesday through late-week, just in time for the first weekend of December. Expect the same at Keystone where the weekend ended up with 23-inch mid-mountain base and power/packed powder conditions.
