Ready, Set, Sculpt! Watch the furry of creation as teams from all over the world turn 12 foot tall, 20 ton blocks of snow into sculptures of your wildest dreams in just 65 hours. The artists in the International Snow Sculpture Competition begin the sculpting on Tuesday, January 26 at 11:00am and continue their creative process till Saturday, January 30th at 10:00am. Judging begins at 10 a.m on Saturday and the awards ceremony is at 3:00 on Sunday the 31st.
If you don’t have a chance to take a stroll in the Riverwalk Center (150 West Adams Avenue) everyday to check out the progress than you can’t miss Friday night before the due date the next morning and Saturday you will be able to see the full completed project. But the sculptures will stand until the following Sunday, January 7th!
Last year's teams were from the US, the Czech Republic, Canada, China, Italy, Mexico, Mongolia and Russia and whipped up an insane winter wonderland. This is not an event to miss. Check out ResortQuest Breckenridge for cheap lodging deals during the International Snow Sculpt!
