Despite the end of summer's warmer temperatures and beautiful high alpine flowers that are covering the runs at Loveland Ski Area, the crews are getting geared up to start making snow! The countdown on the Loveland website is predicting only mere days till snow making can begin! That would be the last week in September and once those snow guns get going it could be just weeks before Loveland opens to all those jonesing for some snow! And as usual, the annual race between Araphahoe Basin and Loveland has begun to see who can open first for the season. As of now A-Basin has not been predicting when they will be able to open- we'll see as the days get closer.
