The Keystone Ski Area is a great resort that hosts a wide variety of terrain that caters to all levels of skiers and boarders! From fun rolling groomers and soft greens to difficult moguls and back country like terrain Keystone is a mountain that will keep everyone entertained!

Best Ski Runs for December

  • Beginner (Green) Spring Dipper is a green run that’s fun for all skill levels with softer flatter terrain. There are a few little rollers that are fun to ski on and maybe do some little tricks. Snow coverage is great and there are no bald or thin spots on this run.
  • Intermediate (Blue) Paymaster is a blue run that is fun for the intermediate skier/boarders. It also has many little rollers due to the snow making in progress. It is a steeper run with less people so you have the run to yourself. It’s a great run if you want to gear it up a notch.
  • Advanced (Black) Windows is a black run that is great for the experts! Windows winds through the trees, and even when there isn’t fresh powder, you’ll be able to find awesome stashes of knee deep snow. We do suggest caution when riding in these early season conditions. Because the base is not very deep yet (its only December) there is a chance of hitting logs/rock/debris that could jump out and get ya!
