St. Patrick’s Celebrations are at High Altitude in Breckenridge and Keystone, CO.

The Green luck of the Irish is here today in Breckenridge and Keystone for St. Patrick's Day. The green beer is keeping the town afloat in the beginning of melty spring conditions and the Irish spirit is making for delicious drinking and eating.

For all day festivities in Breckenridge head to the two Irish Pubs in Town, Napper Tandy's and Burke & Riley's. You’ll get all the Irish you want from traditional Irish breakfasts, Irish music and dancers and green beer to bar specials and revelry.

Burke & Riley's features bagpipers, drummers, a live Irish Band from Denver named Canned Haggis, Irish step dancers, a DJ for late night, Irish breakfast, Irish lunch with corned beef and cabbage and all kinds of giveaways.

Napper Tandy's “Corned Beef & Chaos” Bar opens at 11 a.m. The Bill Byrd Band plays from 1-4 p.m., Irish dancers take the stage at 5 p.m., and DJ Stavros takes over at night.

Also pub crawl your way to MotherLoaded Tavern, for car bombs, The Whale's Tail, Bubba Gump’s, for jell-o shots, shot luge, and shrimp eating contest, and The Park Avenue Pub will have drink specials (and green beer) all night long,

If you are in Keystone, the Goat Soup & Whiskey continues its St. Patty's Day four-day Bash, which started with Seneca, with American Beauty at 10 p.m. Rob Eaton of Dark Star Orchestra and former members of Shakedown Street play Grateful Dead all night. Also, the Out of Bounds Saloon hosts a country dance night from 6-10 p.m.

Napper Tandy's (aka Salt Creek)was horrible. My friends and I went for dinner and drinks in the summer of 2009. We were seated outside on the upstairs patio with a beautiful view. We waited over an hour for someone to bring us our drinks. When we tried to ask another waitress for drinks, she very rudley stated that it was not her table. We were so frustrated that we left the patio and went inside to be served by someone else. The waitress inside was just as bad. Rude, slow, and unattentive.

When we were there this weekend (April 2010) we decided to give it another chance. We sat at the bar this time and our service was ok. Although the bartender could never get our orders right and we hated bothering her while she ate her dinner while working (very unprofessional). We ordered food and drinks continously while we were watching the March Madness semi finals.

We were there about 2 1/2 hours when a staff person came up to us and kicked us out of our chairs. Literally. He told us a band was going to be playing and they had to remove all of the chairs in the place to make room for everyone. We looked around the bar and there was less then 50 people there. Plenty of room in the place and many other people sitting in chairs, not to mention no band was even setting up. We were flabergasted!! And furious. There was about 5 minutes left in the game and we paid our tab and walked out. We went down the street to Eric's and watched the rest of the game.
Napper Tandy's staff are rude. I have never had worse service in my life. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Hey Dwntwn4now,
We are so sorry to hear that you had such an unsettling experience at Napper Tandy's. We would suggest contacting the managers at Napper's directly to let them know about your service experience.
We are quite sure the establishment would be horrified to know about how you were treated.
Also know that this blog post was just allowing our guests to know where St. Patty's events were happening.
Thanks for reading the blog!
